Following my residency, I remained on active duty for a number of years and held assignments both within the United States and Germany.  I left the military to go into a civilian practice with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  As a civilian, I have held numerous clinical faculty positions at various universities, to include the University of California at San Diego and the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary (Harvard).  Board certified in Otolaryngology, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, I am also a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.  Currently I am a member of a number of professional societies, including the New York (and Dutchess County) Medical Society, the American Tinnitus Association, the Drug Information Association and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.  To ensure that my current practice continues to be a leader in new treatments and technology, I continue to be very active in pharmaceutical research.
