We are delighted to report that Vassar's triathlon/duathlon fundraiser for the NICU, of which MHMG was the exclusive corporate sponsor, was a huge success. The weather held off and it was just an amazing day. 9 athletes from Mid Hudson participated, 2 triathlon and 9 duathlon. A triathlon is swimming, biking, and running. A duathlon is running and biking. This event was a professional event. The event had 435 participant athletes total, many of them professional eventers. In his first triathlon, Dr. Tom Weisel took first place for his age category. Dr. Diane Kantaros would have placed third in her age category as a triathlete but she had a technical disqualification. Dr. Ingrid VanHollebeke posted a great time for her first duathlon. Drs. Ingrid Dodard and Sue Weisel, as a relay team, took third in the age category for the duathlon. Drs. Joseph Garvey and Meryl Reichman, as a relay team, also took third for their age category for the duathlon. Congratulations to all who completed! See you next year!                       |
