Dr. Joseph Garvey has
been with Mid Hudson Medical Group since January 2000 and became its President in 2007. He received
his medical degree from AlbanyMedicalCollege in 1990 and went on to complete his residency
in Internal Medicine at LenoxHillHospital in New York City. He also served as Chief Medical
Resident at LenoxHillHospital upon the completion of his
training there. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been in
practice since 1993. Prior to coming to Mid Hudson Medical Group, he served as the Assistant Chief
and Education Coordinator of the Section of Primary Care, Department of Medicine
at LenoxHillHospital from 1995-2000 and was a Clinical
Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine during the same time.
More recently, Dr. Garvey served as the Director of the Department of Medicine
at VassarBrothersMedicalCenter from 2003 to 2005. He guides the
Group with the goal of improving upon its reputation as the finest
multi-specialty group in the region and an institution of which both patients
and physicians can be proud.
